#7 Anatomy & Physiology Chapter 3

In A&P Chapter 1 and 2, they are the common sense chapter that already knew since in secondary schools. So, I'll skip for Chapter 1 and 2. Here are the some of chapter 3. Hope you will gain your knowledge and I'll help to spread the knowledge. Tell me if my information wrong through my comment box!

Animal cell model

Plasma Membranes
> separates intracellular from extracellular fluids
> plays dinamic role in cellular activity
> glycocalyx provides highly specific biological markers in order to recognize the same species

Fluid mosaic model

Fuild Mosaic Model
> double bilayer of lipids
> contain phospholipids bilayer, cholesterol, and glycolipids
> phospholipids have hydrophobic and hydrophilic bipoles

Membrane Junctions

Membrane Junctions
> tight junction - impermeable junction that encircles the cell (strongest junction)
> desmosome - anchoring junction scattered along the sides of cells
> gap junction - a nexus that allows chemical substance to pass between cells (weakest junction)
